About ICTMA

ICTMA is formed in the year 2012 by leading Cutting tool manufacturing companies. At present we have 56 member organizations – 12 Patron members, 22 associate members and 22 ordinary members. The association is incorporated as a company under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013. The affairs of the association is managed by the executive committee who are also members of the Board. The board meets ever quarter or as required to decide on the important matters related to running of the association.
ICTMA is deeply committed to support its membership to increase competitiveness, enhance efficiency, improve productivity, and ensure growth and prosperity. It does so with the aim to assist the membership to become cost effective, technology driven, and ever responsive to customers’ changing needs. At the same time, ICTMA has supported the user industries with better and more modern technology of machine tools to provide them with competitive manufacturing solutions. The association has been raising the issues concerning the members before the authorities including recognizing the industry as a sub sector.

ICTMA is today recognized as the sole voice of the Indian cutting tool industry – it is the face of the industry to the government, to its members, suppliers and users. Its membership of around 56 constitutes a major part of this strategic sector in the country.

From the President

Greetings!

As I write this message to you, IMTEX is behind us. The event witnessed participation of over 900 Companies dealing in various areas including machinery and Cutting Tools. It was heartening to see wholehearted participation from members of the association.

Your association has come a long way since its inception and strives to address the concerns of its members. The recognition by the Government of Cutting Tool Industry as a subsector is due to persistent efforts put in by your association. This will pave the way for availing benefits to the industry.

Your association believes in engaging its members on continuous basis. Towards this a meeting of all stakeholders including members was successfully organized in Pune in November 2022 and at Bangalore in January 2023 during IMTEX which witnessed whole hearted participation. We propose to organize more such meets at different locations for the benefit of all stakeholders including organizing training programs / workshops by leading cutting tool technologists. We also propose to partner with technical training institutes/ colleges to ensure availability of trained man power. We will keep you updated through the website. It is proposed to organize a meet of all stakeholders both from local as well overseas during IMTEX. Presentations of topical interest will form part of the meet.

You will notice that the website of the association stands completely revamped and sports a more contemporary look to suit current requirements. We propose to add more features as we go along including
